New cat...frontosus?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the kind words everyone. And yes the timing was scarily perfect! He is approx. 4.5 inches long, the biggest one they had. All the others had much more spotting and were smaller.

So I dropped an algae wafer in this afternoon to see if he was interested, he found it and ate the whole thing :D

he is so sweet....:grinno: :grinno:

thanks :P I saw more pics of yours I can't wait until he is that big.

You said you had tried to keep him with other fish, but they attack him. Mine seems pretty territorial, I saw him nip my BN when he tried to muscle in on an algae wafer in his cave. My dad is doing a discus tank and I was wondering your opinion on mixing him with discus? If he is going to bite and stress them then I will probably just leave the tank he is in set up and let him have it, it is around 70 gallons. Thanks.

mine is as sweet as pie... what he did was constantly rub along side of the other fish..like he wanted to play all the time.. he did not leave them alone.. and it did not matter if they were big or small.. so unless this is some form of aggression that i cannot read ..i never thought he was doing anything to hurt anyone... but it does hurt them eventually because they do not want his attention.. they want to be left alone..discus are a fragile type fish..i would not advise putting any synodontis with them.. maybe you could add a few africans to his tank and see how it goes.. :D
