I thought they were out of those. It's either a L. longibarbus or P. perruno, but probably the former. Too bad it got eaten. I resisted buying one when I saw them there since the L. grow quickly and get up to 3' and the P. to 2' (or so I've heard). If you want another one, Fish Palace had a couple last time I went and they've had them for a month or so. They were fatter and larger the second time I saw them and consequently the price went up.

Edit: I take that back, it's def. longibarbus since you can count the hard dorsal rays (they have more than true perrunos)

Yeah, I was so upset when I saw it had gotten eaten. I am pretty careful on making sure that new fish are big enough. This time I definitely judged wrong!

She has 1 more at Golden Fish at the same size. How much/big are the ones at Fish Palace?

They look like RTC's...but still a very cool cat...

Sorry for ur loss dude...That kind of thing tends to happen...

the ones at fish palace are probably 5 inches now and looked a lot healthier than when I first saw them at probably 3.5 inches. they looked fatter than the one you got. I'm pretty sure they were more expensive at fish palace. iirc, they were $30 when I first saw them and $40 last time, which is a little on the high side but so is everything here. how much were they at golden fish and what size was yours?

No it's not in the thread. I got it for $25, and I think it was about 4.5 inches. I did not see the other one she had in another tank, but she said it was the same.

looks like a marble cat to me (dont know the exact scientific name) , nice cats. Feed it sparingly an dont have any fish that can easily fit into it mouth.

there scientific name = Leiarius longibarbis ;)

looks like Perruno. Sorry it got eaten, not easy to find nowadays, at least in Europe...

Marble cat. I use to own one which grow super fast and ended up giving it to my good friend. Still growing fast and very eager to eat.
