I was surprised how cheap banjo's were. They were 3.95 at the lfs and its the first time i had ever seen them before. i bought 2 and they are around 5 inches.

wow ive seen those around but they were much more expensive... any idea on how big they get? do they need any specific foods?
Best price i've heard of. I've paid from $5.99-13.99 USD. Lately the only place i've seen them around me are $13.99. Still a few lfs i haven't looked just yet. I've got 3 and want around 5 heh
Mine are just about full grown. They max out around 6 inches and they arent picky eater from what ive seen. Ive seen them eat the Omega shrimp pellets and Omega Flakes. This lfs is a new one i discovered in Dothan, AL. He has alot of good prices and deal. When i bought mine they were buy one get one half off. So i only paid like 6.50 for both but without the deal i would have bought them anyway at only 4 bucks a piece. Im thinking of buying a pair of Synodontis ocellifer but that would be 37 buck with the half off deal.
Their in a bare bottom tank cause all i have are catfish and they cant hide from me. i can see through the bottom They have been out in the day quite a bit. The pictures i took were at like 3pm and he was just chillin.

Wow, crazy to hear about the high prices on banjos. I think I paid about $4 per for my first set, of 3. My latest set (4) cost me $2.48 each. I saw them at the same price at another store just the other day.
Anyway, enjoy your new banjos! Mine are certainly among my favorite fish that I own.
