New catfish

I don't know about no five or six feet but MissMassPolly has/had a forty incher..I don't think she's posted in a while but you can search her threads for photos.

I've been to that zoo and they arent that big. They're big but not that big
 
@Evz, Thanks, the pleco was pretty small. He was a bit less than an inch

@fishysweet, thanks, he eats bloodworms like a vacume so I bet he'll look like a balloon in a few days :D

Wow!!! That has the potential to be one Giant fish!!! What do you think the smallest fish that you could keep with a fish like that would be.... so that it couldn't eat the fish I mean. :confused:
 
They do get huge, that's for sure. My last niger was about 22" when I donated it to the Oregon zoo. I had it in a 4x4x2 but had to shut the tank down. He went back into a 135 (his former home) for a few months and then to the zoo's 12,000G "Flooded Amazon" tank in May, 2011. I haven't seen him for a few months, but he has got to be over 36" at this point.
