Sounds like it is going to be awesome. Can't wait to see the pics posted.
I'll keep the pictures coming.

Keep an eye on the red eye tetras, while beautiful some people have noticed nippy behavior even in large schools.

Thanks for the input. if i notice it i will feed them to the bigger fish.

Nice setup! I know you, and probably more of your wife is looking foward for the discus, but here is some pictures of what will be swimming in that tank! :D

Dude....my wife is stoked about the discus. She already has plans for 9 more discus and some angels.

:D
I wish my future wife will love the hobby I do as much as your wife!
I really want a community fish tank too, and I might start one up after my silvers grow out from their planted 55 gallon. Only reason why I'm selling this guy is I have a chance to get a FRT and I need the extra cash.

Hope to have this beauty in yours or should I say your wife's setup before the end of this week.

FRT!!!!!!!

That's insane!!!! I hope it works out for you Bro.

Here you go....a little inspiration. 2 x 12'' diameter FRT's

Wow! I envy you! Seems like you have every type of fish/turtles too! Some personal shots of them would be nice! :D

As the owner of a 240 gal., and 2 - 125 gal. packed with discus, I can tell you that small fish like tetras don't add a whole lot to the looks of larger tanks containing discus. The size of the discus as adults is all you really notice. I would go with just discus and a few bristlenose plecos if it were me. Maybe with a few angels if you like. I know you will enjoy the project. Discus are addicting. I started out years ago with only 4, now I have around 50 counting the breeding pairs. I have to keep selling and trading them so I can make tank room for more!
