its asiatica from the dot on the tail get to about 30cm its native to southern China some times called Asian snakehead

Good man you can never have enough Channa as for sexing them your man is right Males are said to posses twices as many shiny scales as the Females also the males are usually bigger.They have been bred in captivity

They're both still hiding. Might take awihle. The newer one comes out sometimes and it looksl ike he's bashing his head against the side of the tank as if he's like 'what the? there is a some kind of invisible barrier'. I'm pretty sure their wild caught. The bigger one is also starting to show some of his colours. His dorsal fin is turning slightly blue.

I agree you can never have too many channas. I love em. I also got juvi bleheri's for 7quid for 3 if em. They're about 2 inches. They were in the same tank as the asiatica's but have been moved to a 20.

I think i have a two males. But they're both uber shy at the moment. will post some pics soon.
