He seems to going OK he's a little shy at the moment and you are right the discus don't seem as fragile as every one told me the other discus that I have went through a terrible trauma when my 1200 litre tank exploded a month after it was installed (see a month old in this forum for photo )even the smallest (blue boy)survived, so far so good.
I got him from a shop here just north of Brisbane on the sunshine coast it has a friend just as good as him but my wife has been visiting our granddaughter and doesn't know I have him, so I am not game enough to get the second one till I see what she does when she sees this one, even though the girl said I could have the second one for $90.00 ?????

I'll stop complaining how much discus here are then. I was complaining about discus that size for $40 but not anymore after seeing you paid $90 for one. You will know they've acclimated ok once you see them feeding aggressive.
Some people do call them "stress bars" , but it doesn't necessarily mean they are gonna die or anything .
When you move a Discus from one tank to another , or bring them home from an LFS , etc.......
It can take a week or two for them to really get used to their new home and lose the stress bars .
If they are eating well and not hiding all the time , or being chased around by your Angels , they should brighten up soon .
I'd keep a close eye on them .
I paid $110 for him if I took the second one she would let me have it for a cut price of $90.00
he is eating and cruising around with the others. But I would like the other one as well!!!!!
You should look up local discus breeders in your area. Most local breeders will sell for a 1/4 of that price you're paying. That is considering they're not greedy and want to reward hobbyists. I won't tell you home much I paid for my discus or else you'll start hating me.
