New Cichlid Purchases

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I returned the discus and gave them the green terror, green severum, and geophagus. So now its:

75 gallon:
1 oscar
4 parrots
1 baby convict
1 chocolate
1 pictus
1 common pleco

55 Gallon:
1 oscar
2 firemouth
1 pictus
1 turtle

And I moved the little trimac to the 20g I put the discus in because hes still really small and would probably do best away from the rest.

Good pick up on the Trimac. My wife is losing interest in her African Cichlid tank. If she does then those guys are being traded in for either a Trimac or a pair of Red Devils. One question though, do you think that the Trimac is going to play nice once you place your big cichlids together in the future 125? Just a question. I've always heard that Trimacs were downright nasty and intolerant of most tankmates. That's why if i did get one i would keep him in a solo tank.

If it doesn't work out I will move him/her to its own tank and maybe try breeding or have him as just a single fish display tank. Anyone know the growth rate one them, it was about 1" a month with my flowerhorn but don't know if its the same.
