G'day all!
So, Currently i am planning to start my tank again from scratch.
Ive had 4-5 Years keeping fish ranging from Oscars, Green terrors, saratoga's, Angles, and a few more resulting in my current set up of discus. I'm finding a lack of interest with my discus as they don't really do anything and i am 99% sure going back to cichlids is the way to go.
I have a 6x2x2 Tank
2 big Ehiem Canister Filters
1 Big heater Eheim aswell
Including some wood and some plants (i am prepared to lose the plants :P )
Now I was wondering what are some good stocking options,
Either a mixed tank, either predator or less aggressive cichlids
but what i kind of want to avoid is all the fish in their separate corners just coming out to attack each other, so a species only tank is even on the table. Looking for personality, Vibrant colors, one that may breed. Any and all Suggestions would help.
Cheers

Severums, chocolate cichlid, uaru. Or you could have a oscar as a centrepiece fish then a few smaller cichlids. You have plenty of space having a 180 and lots of choices good luck

You have a lot of options with that tank size. If you don't want any aggression issues stay away from large CAs unless you plan on keeping single fish. IME I have gone through so many CA cichlids not because they die, but because I have to get rid of one that is overly aggressive. A geo community should be peaceful. Maybe add plecos, or schools or tetras like silver dollars.

If you're not familiar, Google search Paratheraps/Vieja cichlids

^about to say the same but with a big severum or two.

Cheers guys, all these suggestions are helping me out alot hey,
just doin' alittle research into them n see which would best suit!
keep em commin! :)

Jason
