New Cichlid?

I lost my Midas cichlid last week . He must have died of old age, he was 7 i think. Now i have a empty 55g. Its bare bottom with a few pots. Any suggestions? I'm open to single cichlids or groups. I want another "Wet pet".

well if you had a 7 year old midas in a 55g tank you dont need another.

55 is ok for a young Midas but not big enough for a mature one.

55 is a wee bit small for a RD. It's kinda hard to think of something that compairs personality wise that will fit comfortably in that size tank.

Bump the tank size up to at least 75 (preferably 100g) and get another RD or even a Barred Midas.

better get a bigger tank. midas require more room than a 55 gal. youre looking at 75gal MIN.
