New Cichlid?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
is that a trick question midas madness your name says it all get another midas best cichlid of all time if not a midas male festae cant go wrong with either.

why is everyone telling this guy to stuff another potentially 10-12" midas/devil or flowerhorn if very well cared for, into a 12" wide tank?? why am i one of the few who see a problem with this besides reddevil and cichlidguy:screwy: atleast a 75g tank is needed for fish that size, and thats pushing it since they cant get much speed up while swimming.

theres thousands of species of fish, and im sure we could all name just one or two that would be IDEAL for a 55g, not just barely able to turn around.

yea, I was trying to experience all the cichlids and just to see your opinions.

Could go with what you like and know (Get another Midas) or you could just go to a local fish/pet store and see what looks appealing, remember it's name, then come here and ask for experiences/information from those who've kept the species.

Lotsa cool fish out there if you want to experience change.

better get a bigger tank. midas require more room than a 55 gal. youre looking at 75gal MIN.

I agree with Don. If you want another wet pet get a grammode. Midas/devils can easily live passed 7 too.

Lol you're just saying that after somebody recommended 75+ for them.

He stated its a SPARE 55 gallon. He had it in a 75 gallon. I'm sure you have a lot to talk on considering you have 2 Pacus in a 230 gallon tank.
