I had a big long funny write up about made up names and locations but it probably would have offended a couple members.

Can you see them? A few are under the big log. A bit smaller than anticipated...

Fish are 4 wild morph P. splendida, 5 exC. istlanum, 3 exC. bocourti, and 2 C. godmanii.

Glad they finally came in great stock list. The tank looks great too, I like the wood. Location F oh no.. So these are FF0 or FF1

I don't have signatures turned on, never have. I can't seem to figure out how to turn them on. What does it say?

It was a pretty clever story to tell the truth, but I was afraid that someone might complain and ask for the topic to be deleted...?

And here I thought it might get a little chuckle. :( Location F is for Florida, get it!?

WOW really!!!! This is a total Troll move! This has nothing to do with your new fish. This is obviously a stab at umbeeking, but definitely not a clever one lol. I know this wasn't a thread made to see where everyone stood because that is quite obvious... I mean seriously, we all know you and your friends are furious about the undisclosed locations nonetheless the new found Gorillus! Umbeeking has made it very apparent that the locations will remain undisclosed for his own good reasons and when he feels the time is right, is when the tru locations be revealed. So stop trolling for these locations and trying to piss people off deliberately which will only result in bans and infractions!

Lol, I thought it was funny.

I'm sorry, but if you are going to have made up location names and claim they are kept secret to prevent a massive raiding of these fish you deserve a little ribbing. There's not enough market for these fish for anyone to go raid them from the wild. Only a select few people have tanks large enough for adult pairs. Most of the people that have those tanks have no interest in keeping an Umbee. So the market is very small. In fact the market currently seems to be flooded with umbee fry. I see a ton of people on here breeding subadult pairs but I see very few people with full grown adults. Were are all ther 16" males at???

I definately respect someone that is legally collecting fish and trying to bring new bloodlines into the hobby. However to do it correctly you need actual locations and collection points. X, Z, etc are just hype, nothing more. There are tons of fish from SA and CA that have actual collection points. These locations are not flooded with fish collectors fishing them into extinction for the aquarium trade. Add that a lot of these fish are now named for some reason and it comes off as nothing but hype to me. Fry from the general, fry the the 5 star general, etc. It's a free world and you can do what you like but in my opinion let the fish speak for them selves. From what I have seen they are nice enough that they do not need hype. I do not see anyone else other then some of the umbee keepers doing this. Imagine if Jeff Rapps had all of his big breeding pairs named super cool stuff and listed all his fry that way? Would that seem like extra hype?

The umbees all of you have posted are very nice fish. I hope you all keep them for there full lifespan and provide them proper housing and enjoy them for years to come.

Nice stock list OP. I really like the wild morph snooks. Very unque shape and look to them.

Rib on jgentry! rib on, ha,ha. You people are so funny to me. If what you say is true, then why does it bother you so, to know the true names of my collecting points? You don't own any of them? fish that is from my collecting points now do you? So why is it that my CODE NAMES bother you? I have shown you more then any vendor has and still a small percentage of you want to rib on as you put it. I have given you a glimpse into there collecting points, you have seen me pull the fish out of the water of there collecting locations and just because I wont disclose the name of the river, lake etc, to you its not valid.... it humors me to see how easy it is to sell some people a dream.. How do you know that the fish in your tanks are from were the vendors say they are from? you weren't there when there collectors collected them now where you??? Hell, most vendors themselves weren't even there.. but I guess the vendors are selling more then just the fish but to people like you a piece of mind, to say my fish are wild caught from this location.... The fish I have collected need no hype... They are simply stunning and magnificent and speak for themselves... I'll tell you what, lets make a deal. Since you, Modest Man and a few others are so interested in knowing the names of my collecting points, How about you guys join me on my next collecting trip and once we are on scene I will be more then happy to tell you the names of the rivers and lakes my UMBEES are from... So what do you say? are you down to go collect some big bad Umbees with me????? Lets do it !!!!! If not Respect my wishes to keep there location point disclosed...and maybe I wont rib you to pieces:) UMBEE POWERRRRRR!!!!
