Lol, I thought it was funny.
I'm sorry, but if you are going to have made up location names and claim they are kept secret to prevent a massive raiding of these fish you deserve a little ribbing. There's not enough market for these fish for anyone to go raid them from the wild. Only a select few people have tanks large enough for adult pairs. Most of the people that have those tanks have no interest in keeping an Umbee. So the market is very small. In fact the market currently seems to be flooded with umbee fry. I see a ton of people on here breeding subadult pairs but I see very few people with full grown adults. Were are all ther 16" males at???
I definately respect someone that is legally collecting fish and trying to bring new bloodlines into the hobby. However to do it correctly you need actual locations and collection points. X, Z, etc are just hype, nothing more. There are tons of fish from SA and CA that have actual collection points. These locations are not flooded with fish collectors fishing them into extinction for the aquarium trade. Add a lot of these fish are now named for some reason and it comes off as nothing but hype to me. Fry from the general, fry the the 5 star general, etc. It's a free world and you can do what you like but in my opinion let the fish speak for them selves. From what I have seen they are nice enough that they do not need hype. I do not see anyone else other then some of the umbee keepers doing this. Imagine if Jeff Rapps had all of his big breeding pairs named super cool stuff and listed all his fry that way? Would that seem like extra hype?
The umbees all of you have posted are very nice fish. I hope you all keep them for there full lifespan and provide them proper housing and enjoy them for years to come.
Nice stock list OP. I really like the wild morph snooks. Very unque shape and look to them.
