sounds like a good plan. i do remember reading about sex morphing now that i think about it...with clean up crew, how important is my salt level. i lost my hydrometer and when i had the lfs test my water they said it was good to have fish in, but what about the shrimp? doesnt salt have to be at some specific level for inverts?

With clowns you don't have to worrie about what sex your clown is to be able to add another. If you have a male and you add another male one will become dominant and turn female. The female will then grow larger. If the clown you have now is smaller than the one you can add then the new one will become the female because it is bigger. It works the same with two females. The only times that aggressive behaviour is displayed with clowns is usually with maroon clowns since they are a bit more aggressive but it generally works the same. If at all possible make the next clown you add a little bigger than the one you currently have to make the pairing up go faster. Make sure you get another clown of the same species though or they wont pair up. Clowns don't like to be alone and arn't ment to be along so be nice and get your little fella a girl friend

I stand corrected. I had an issue because I had 6 clowns in a tank before and there was squabbling but I think it was just over territory.

Ummm... Well... You do know that the salt level is the key point to maintain correctly to keep a marine tank??? your salt level is even more important to be correct when dealing with inverts. Most invert death comes from people who don't keep a constant salt level. I suggest getting a refractometer right away. Your salinity should be 1.025 and constantly remain at that for the health of your livestock and especially your inverts. Do not add any more fish or inverts until you get a refractometer. You could get by with another hydrometer but they are not accurate so I highly suggest getting the refractometer right away. I also suggest for you to spend some time searching the internet and researching more info about marine aquaria to better suit yourself, your pocket book, and your tank livestock.
