hey I just got a cobra snakehead 8 inches long. I was wandering what kind of set up is suggested for it to live. It has jumped out of the tank once already through s mall space the lid doesn't cover. Is it common for them to jump? any help would be cool ill post pics asap

Do the set-up with many hiding place, well known jumpers like wolf fish and arowanas

I am pretty shocked reading through this forum about people who buy fish and then ask how to look after them.

Maybe im being old fashined but I do my research before buying the fish so I know what I am getting into.

Nothing against the OP but buying any snake head regardless if its not a monster still needs planning.

All in all, at least they bother to learn more about their pets, still better then some that just buy and not give a damn.

Of course, if everyone does their research first handed, that will be ideal. :)

If by "Cobra" you mean Marulius, get ready for a huge tank or pond!

I think by "Cobra" he means Channa Aurantimaculata. Aren't Marulius/Marulioides more commonly referred to as "Emperor Snakeheads"? Anyway, Cobra Snakeheads do very much better in colder waters.
