Why do you go by 'bands' as for judging tail length on flowers? With my four the 'bands' are completely variable - one male has 5 up to and including the band that his stinger(s) are on, and probably 4 or 5 after and I'd say he's got a full tail (9-10 total). My other male also has 5 up to his stinger, and only 3 after (8 total) with an equally full tail. The end of one males' tail is almost solid black for close to 3", whereas the other has a few white bars between the black. I'm just saying that bands on a tail are in no way a good method for judging the length of tails on flowers.
Awesome looking flowers, good luck getting them all to eat! I'll definitely be adding to my collection in the future...
