Interesting. Doesn't the VATF prefer faster water than the slow and docile Discus? Seems like they would always be nervous and acting unnatural with a huge fish darting around all day.

I would be more worried for the VATF, I have heard discus can be mean little fin nippers that are relentless!

Good looking ATF and Discuss. But I really want to know . . . are you nuts? Have you lost your mind? Eventually, it's gonna be suiside for someone in that tank. I'd truly dislike being around to witness it happen.

ATF, Yes. Discus, dunno... they seem to act normal. I dont have massive current and I def dont have docile water. FX5 and 2 Quiet1 4000. Discus swim the tank but love to hang out around the big driftwood. This is where I have little Tornados sometimes and they dont seem to mind... but Time will tell and I have options if something doesnt work out

I tried my luck a few months back with the 2 2" Discus for a few reasons....
Ive had my ATF for a while now and I know a good idea of what Room Mates he dont like. So, I figured if I was going to try Discus Id try with something small and looks like a snak. The 2 little guys are still there and growing

... ATF has showed me several times he can and will defend himself. Last Tail-Nipper woke up without a Face... See

On the other hand he doesnt like live foods (except for the 5th pink tail chalceus he ate last week. First time he has ever eaten live in my possession)
