Hello guys, my 210g tank has recently been infected ich. There are six fish in the tank(3 baby peacock bass, 1 mid sized oscar, 1 mid sized serevum, and 1 bichir) I currently don't have a quarantine tank available so I was wondering how I should treat this entire tank. I just noticed the ich today so I would assume its just mild ich right now. Anyway hope you guys can let me know the best thing to do.

I’d suggest treating the entire tank. With heat/salt or meds.

Thanks james for moving thread, I didn't bother selecting the right one. sorry. Ok kno4te, is 80 degrees F enough with some store bought medication, or should I turn the temperature higher and use some salt(If I should use salt does 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons sound right or should I do more)

U can use salt with iodine.

Really, I read that you can't use iodine in a fish tank. Himalayan salt is all I have but its completely pure.
duanes duanes May know for dosing for Himalayan salt. Iodine is fine.

If ick is on one fish in the tank, you must assume all fish need to be treated, so in this case a quarantine tank will not help.
For a 210gallon tank, you will need 6.5 lbs of salt to bring the salinity up to at least 3ppt (parts per thousand) any salinity lower than that , is really not effective.
I use straight salt (NaCl) rock salt, water softener salt etc, etc as long as its simply NaCl, and the trace Iodone in salt is a non-issue .
I have never used Himalayan salt.
