Does the oscar ever pay any attention to the bichirs? I've always wanted to try wild oscars with my bichirs.

had the oscar and another one when they were wee 4-5 inchers and have grown up with the bichirs with no problems. When they grew big, this one (the other one died 2 months ago)
would nip on my big ornate but it didn't even get bothered by it.

I guess as long as they're small (bot not small enough for the bichirs to eat) it's worth a try. This oscar is coming up to 3 years on october.

Awesome setup and bichirs bro. Esp the active Del.

That oscar at the back look so chillax hahaha.

Bro sorry to ask, but does that Ornate has a defect, like a twisted back or something?

I'm not sure if that's a defect or what, when I first got him he was a wee 6-8 incher, around 5 1/2 years ago. When he got bigger that's where the curve came out don't know why.
He's a tough one, had survived tank escape, got healed over gill rot, and pretty active in the tank.

My other ornate (smaller one) is straight unlike the big one.
