I agree totally keeping fresh and marines for thirty five years, reefs and all never once tested the water, Sorry Knowledge and experience PRICELESS

They have fully computerized controllers that you can access through the internet and smartphones, and there are also digital nitrate monitors-both are a bit pricey though. Unless you're running a high end reef it's overkill, and I don't know if any of the nitrate monitors are compatible with the controller systems.

People are getting lazy all in one remotes for TVs and now this come on get off your ass and do something not something do it for you.

Now i agree with this to an extent; however, I'm not supporting this because it would do something I don't want to do. I'm supporting this because it would do something I CAN'T do: monitor my tank while I'm not home.

I use Verizon's home monitoring service, and I actually have the controllable camera positioned to be able to view all my larger tanks. I also have a stationary camera watching my 40 breeder. I've done this ever since one of the connections on my aquatop canister came loose and it pumped 30 gallons of water onto my floor.

Now if I had something that could also monitor my water parameters, why wouldn't I want that?
