Was wondering how deep the sand bed was? In my opinion the sand should be about 4 inches deep to allow him to fully bury up to his eyes, mine seemed to appreciate that.

Very. Only time he swims around is to get my attention for food. They look like fat little dogs when they swim, lol.

Hey rarely even halfway buries himself. most times he just sits on top of the sand eyeballing everything.
