New convict, is it a hybrid? (photos)

But I already have a female con in another tank that looks nothing like that.
this fish doesnt even have orange on its belly like my other con does. I can see why you might think that but having a female con which looks pretty much identical to all female cons in my house does make it hard to say they are the same

heres my female, she has the classic vertical bars with orange on her belly and yellow through her fins. she usually has quite a purpley hue to her, but that pic was taken with flash in a tank with the lights out.

All I´m saying is these two fish don´t look the same to me, surely you can agree?
 
Thanks Maverick, I hope this pic is a bit more explanatory of how it is different to my female above, not the black bar and dark stripes in his fins, kinda like a young midas. and note the head colour

Ok these pics tell a different story. I see why you would think its a cross. But I'm goin to stick that this is a female con. This one is t mine, but I see your cons face and body minus the bright orange. I think the orange will come in as yours settles in and finds a mate. Convict_Female_DSC_4500.jpg

but is it not possible for a cross to retain the convict body and face? I´ve seen pictures on here before of convict crosses that retain mostly convict features, Ive been growing a young red devil for the last few months who has the exact same black streaks in his fins come and go, and again with the orange face. The picture I posted at the top of this page is a completely different convict that I have, incase you was confused, and yeah see how that one looks just like your picture?

I know convicts can have several different traits, aswell as HRP´s but would a pure bred convict really have an orange face, red in the fins and black steaks in the fins also? cause I just feel like a common convict couldnt have those features unless it was interbred with something.
 
Just seen a con/dempsey con face.con stripes and covered in big blue freckles it was gorgeous

Lots of LFS have convicts in that arent actually really convicts
 
I dont thinks it a straight up female con. i dont know what it may be crossed with but i do think its crossed. might be ared point regular con cross.
