So after going through this back in Dec and early Jan, here I am again, this time doing it the correct way and not cutting corners to find a cheaper way out. I contacted Swiss Tropicals and spoke to Stephan for a long time. I then ordered 8 new sponges. Then I went to Jacks Glass and ordered the glass rods, which is what he told me to do because he was more expensive. Glass finally came in two days ago, gave them the wrong height because on tank, the 265 has been resealed so the silicone was thick and the glass didn't sit flush to the glass so had to get 2" cut, I went ahead and did them all that way.
I just filled it up and sometime tomorrow evening will add the fish, water temp was 56 degrees.
Stock will be Geo's, Choco's, Sev's and Loach's of different varieties.
Behind the sponges I made some adjustments. I put the air stone on the bottom and then added more media to the media bag and placed it on top of the air stone, on both sides, then put some bio-balls in there as well. Then hid the rest of the items like the heater and lifter.
This new setup looks much better and cleaner than the last.
