In the air and I ain't comin down!
This is by far the best looking of all the Orino to me personally. Just recieved a shipment in last night we grabbed all 10 and split them between 3 of us Pwmin, BloodRock, and myself. Big thanks to Paul for finding another great find supplied by a wonderful vendor and a very highly respected MFK member here. I am on top of the world about this pick up. They are still VERY THIN I REALLY HATE THAT THE SHIP THEM SO THIN but I am not that unhappy about what had to be done because I got ORINICO!!!!!!!:headbang2 This is a picture from the sticky on what they should look like.

Very nice! Where is their origin? Ive been hunting for some of these guys. Pm me :)

Pics!! btw, those pictured are Rio Negro, not Orinoco :)

It's impossible to say really. Check out my old thread here, has lots of good pictures. A lot of these I found in fishing forums, where guys actually state what river they were fishing in. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=250701

I too have this pic in my ID thread, and also have it labled as "orinoco". It really looks like a rio negro to me, so perhaps the website that this photo was pulled from is incorrect

Yeah man Orinos from the orinoco are extremely varied. Just look at all the ones you see here on MFK, they all look different - and they all originate from the orinoco. Since it's such a moster of a river system, the fish look different, depending on where they're collected. Simply going off "orinoco" will not really tell you what the fish looks like. This rivers spans mutiple countries, and has hundres of drainages that spread throughout Venezeula and Colombia.

They can be green, yellow, or brown. Blue fins, red fins, clear fins, black fins, metallic, non-metallic, round markings, diamond markings, the possibilities are endless. That's the fun in growing out orinos :D
