spread the love brotha! lookin good and J beat me to the punch...the adults in the first post definetly look like RN to me as well. can't wait to see what these guys turn into.

Wish I had the cash when you(Jose), were selling your rio negro's. I need a 12"+ rio negro :) Grow outs would work too...I guess.

Thanks for holding them for me HCR, I'll pick them up the next time I'm in town. Thanks again bruddah.

Those orinos are my favorite ones nice pick up bro youre stoked

Look up Orinoco River....youll get contradicting maps...some show the Rio negro labeled, and vice versa. I jump to RN, because that how we in the hobby have come to know them, but those markings can come from a wide expanse. There is a long stretch where the rivers connect, and all of it is in adjacent to the 'Orinoco Basin' which makes it vague enough to cover the whole area as Orinoco. You got some nice Orino's, thats the best part. ;)

Besides next time Cichla are reclassified theyll change the name and whatever we call them will be moot...lol

Yea I looked I have actually three different maps and two have a few different names for the same flow. And yes sir I am glad for the chance to raise them and see what's to come.

They changed the name on the Vieja the other day I read so I am sure Cichla is still a mystery to them all. Including me. :D

I couldn't have said it better. I will also agree that the pictures you posted in the beginning of this thread are Rio Negros. Then again orinoco orinos and rio negro orinos hold very similar traits, hmm I wonder why ;) It is not uncommon to see them with the same round ocelli markings as the Rio Negros. Orinoco orinos have a very distinct look to them, cheek markings, colors, head shape, them in general stand out. ShookONES I thiefed your photo to show an example of a Rio Orinoco Orinocensis and how nice they look.
