For those of you with experience with these: Do they tend to drop their tails a lot easier when they are small, or do you have to be careful of that happening even when they are bigger and use to be handling? Mine is maybe about 5 inches. I know not to grab him by the tail or anything stupid like that, but I am nervous everytime I grab him to handle him.
 
I have never had one lose it's tail (knock on wood) from being handled. For the most part they're pretty reluctant to drop their tails and will only really do so if it is pulled or pinched to the point that they are struggling to get away.
 
dont sweat tail droppage, they have prehensile tails so they will want to keep them as long as possible.
 
nice cresty..amazing little buggers..hopefully i can convince mother to get me one haha..but oh just so you know and dont get scared..there tails can fall off and dont grow back like leopard geckos..but theres also a food like baby food for them you can feed..

Yea, they are definitely pretty cool. I haven't tried baby food yet. I'm trying to see if he'll eat the crested gecko diet. He liked banana so much that I just put a piece of mushed up banana on top of the crested diet, so we'll see if that works tonight.
