Nice! I want some Dats! I hear they grow really slow though... Id like some dats once i get my Arowana setup in his 220 and is feeling good about him/herself. I really want a Dat Clown knife Bichir Aro tank.

They are pretty slow growers.Mine took about 12 months to grow 4".

Jworth is a lucky man. These are some nice Indos, one of em has HUGE bars. More like huge bar indo.

Well if i got some that were about 1-1/4" will they be ok in a tank with 3-5" arowana? Given the hiding spots in the rocks i have setup. i can grow them out in my 29gallon for a bit i suppose. Ill be getting the aros next weekend when they come in to the LFS @ $20each. I forgot Pbass i want to add to the tank once they LFS has gotten them a bit larger for me. I currently have 2 Clowns in the 29 gallon and they are loving it. I feed and they go right for the food (uncommon to the last one) so i think im gonn ahve good luck with these 2. I currently have a 9" pleco 2 4" tinfoils and a 2" Rapheal cat in the 220, All are well.

Hmm, they might be better started in the 29, just so its easier for them to get food and settle in. Once you've got them eating frozen foods well (shouldn't be an issue, all the ones I've picked up do) and they've put on a little size, then you might move them.

I'm thinking about keeping my trio in a 20T until they're about 3", then upgrading to something like a 55g or 90g with some other similar sized fish.

Ok well thats what i was contemplating... Ill see if the clowns will put on some size and then get some dats and Bichir for tank mates and just stick the Aros into the 220 to begin with till the others can catch up.

I did keep a 20" aro with a 4" dat at one time. Not many fish try to eat them whole with the spines that they have.

Man, these guys are little piggies. Between the two of them they almost finished off an entire cube of bloodworms before the two pikes even knew it was in the tank... They're little bellies look like they're going to pop!

very good. Ill have them eating pellets in no time then by mixing pellets in with the bloodworm water and slowly weaning the number of bloodworms in the mix. :D the indo i sold regalt was my favorite fish that i have ever owned and sold him in a split second panic decision and has been my worst decision in fish keeping yet. I tried an NGT and it didnt fix the itch and sold that to regalt too haha. Im super happy to have the chance to house Indos again.

They're getting mostly stable already too. They'll darken up a little when I'm messing with the tank, but for the most part they're stable right now.

Baby indo's are so cute. They come swimming up to the front of the tank when they see me, and start wiggling back and forth begging for food. Glad I'll still have a few after I bring you these, or I'd have to go pick some more up for myself...
