New delhezi

I finally got two delhezi after ten years of searching. They popped up on my suppliers list in early Dec, but I was in no situation to order then. Saw one for sale when on vacation last week and passed hoping they'd still be on the list, and they were.
They showed up yesterday with one for sure done for. After an hour in the acclimation bucket though, he straightened up and was looking not too bad in the main tank.
Both even ate last night, and the male that I didn't think would live now has a very fat belly.
As usual, I've managed to get fish that know the exact moment the picture is going to be taken and move behind something just as the camera clicks.

I'm just hoping they both make it long term. They came in with macrodactylus on them, so I have to grab some meds tomorrow.

About 6". One is a bit larger than the other.

They're eating extremely well. Mysis shrimp and pellets.
I treated for the macrodactylus last night and they seem to have vanished overnight.

They die within hours of treating, it's the easiest thing to deal with in bichir keeping.

I love your dels, looking forward to the update in a couple weeks.

It's been a long time since I've had to deal with it. I think about 10 years since I got one in with the little buggers on them.
