It's been a long time since I've had to deal with it. I think about 10 years since I got one in with the little buggers on them.

Nice, yeah the more wild caught fish you keep the more frequently you run into them.

What were you keeping back then?

I can't remember what came in with them. I think it was either the lapredei I got, or some senegals. The lapredei I still have.
My ornate and synodontis angelicus are my oldest fish. This Christmas was 11 years with them both.
I've had bichirs or ropes steady for the last 12 years or so.

wow very cool!

Here's a couple of new pics of the dels.
They are both eating like pigs.
As is usual with my bichirs, the female is a little B***H. Every time the male comes near her she grabs onto a fin. Had the same problem with my ornates when I originally got them. He's learning to keep his distance. :)

The head shot is the larger male. The others are the female.

They look great James! What are they eating?

Is that plant 'bolbitus' that the male is hiding in?

One mroe Q, pics of the ropes please :)

They are eating New Life Spectrum Pellets, HBH Super Soft Krill pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and frozen white shrimp.
The plant is bolbitis. This stuff is a weed in the right conditions, and the bichirs and ropes love swimming through its branches.

Here's a pic of one of the ropes. This is one of the females. The male is the smallest. I think this is the largest one, but I'm not possitive.

Could I have FTS, please?

Pretty please :)
