Oooh, not good. Its definately an infection. If you can, I'd pull them and stick them in a quarantine tank at 86F, pH 6.5 and treat with antibiotics asap. If not, raise temp to 86F and treat now. Its kind of common with new discus, probably happens to me 1 out 5 times. But, time is of the essence.

Heck when introducing new discus don't be afraid to keep the temp at ~90 F for a month. Good luck on getting them better. Some salt might help also. (Look online for actual amounts, I think suggested is ~1 tablespoon per 10 gallons.)

And hopefully the discus did come from a lower ph to a higher right? Because putting a discus in a high ph to a low = death, while the other is just fine.

I am guessing it could be PH shock - as per my tests, usally Aquasafe treated tap water reads a PH of 7.5, but my tank was at 7ph due to consistent CO2 injection.

Now these 4 fishes came from the LFS - and they are the ones which have the problem, the other four seemed fine. Therefore i did a 30% water change - which automatically took the PH to 7.3, i am keeping it at that for the time with the temps at 29.5c which is the max the heater can do.....

Added a half dose of Tetra - Gen. Tonic - which i beleive cleares bacteria and parasites. but i hope it does not hurt my plants.

I read on a site that we can use table salt as well, but i am kinda confused on this, i might just get some sea salt the next time i am at the LFS - do discuss need a regular dose of salt in their water or only at the time of treatment.

below are some pictures after i added them to my tank......

I don't think that's pH shock. I think you most likely have a parasite problem or an internal infection...those discus are SUPER skinny, indicating much more is going on than just pH shock.

My discus use to do and look like that and it was due to internal infection.I would put them in a hospital tank and increase the tank up to atleast 86+ and treat with antibiotic.

i lost an orange one today...............:(
I dont have an hospital tank setup therefore i am treating all of them.......

Another orange is breathing heavily and swimming face up......tail down!!! I hope she survives..... put in a Jungle Fungus clear.....tabs

The first pic looks like too much co2 injection, which shocked him. Ditch co2 for a couple days. The second one has an internal parasite, and also is severely stunted.
