Hey guys ive got a bare bottom standard 30g with a tetra whisper 30 and a sponge filter and the tank will be done cycling in a day ot two ive done a lot of resaerch and am thinking about keeping a blue and pigeon blood discus anything HELPFUl you gusy have to say would be nice

okay and what kind of discus do you guys reccomend

Did you see anywhere in the "alot of research" you did that juvi discus are best kept in groups 5-6.

yes i did but i dont have room and im maxed out on money this will be my last purchase in a while and im doing the best i can be getting 2-3

The group is too small and the tank is too small, you'd be better off choosing other less expensive fish.

okay and what fish would you reccomend for a discus like tank

Stick to angels. You haven't done enough research, and discus are not the fish to be running short on money with. The food alone will run you several bucks a day.

There is no substitute for discus, you'll just have to find other fish you may like. I thought you were gonna use this tank for a breeding project?

i was but then my brother didnt want it and i decided it would be a show tank so now ive spent a ****load of money on filtration i forgot to mention a UV sterilizer and i cant keep discus and fyi ive done about a months worth of reasech i just figured that like neon tetras and other schooling fish lots of people keep them in groups of 2 or three
