new discus wont eat?

Ok you got them from local hobbyist, is he mainly keeping discus or everything in main tank? I would ask him if those discus were treated worms. If not, it's better to treat them now when they're in qt tank. 8-10 hrs is kinda long to me for new fish. I would dim the light or turn it up if you have an option. also check the water paremeter to be sure it's full cycled.

i know how you feel about waiting new fish arrival, day is getting long

so i ask the and she said that they were never big eater but they seen very healthy so im going to see how it goes.and omg the wait on his discus are killer!!!! its been a weekand already im ready to DIE! they should be here wedness day or thursday

well its confirmed my new discus from kenny will be here on thursday the wait is killer.

should i deworm both batch? the 2 batch will be in seperate tanks probably for the next 6 months or so. and from what the lady told me this is how the discus have always been eating since juvie and theyre about 6 inches right now. dont wanna add med to the tank if i dont have too

If you don't want to treat them, I would suggest separate those 2 batches to be save. Make sure they eat and healthy before put them in together. You don't want 1sick fish spread out to whole group. Also suggest you to read diseases section at simply discus.

This has happen to me too when i got mine after 4 days they finally started eating they stayed in one spot and i was like WTF man. but everything is cool now i love them

Don't mix Kenny's fish with your fish. I got fish from Kenny's latest shipment and they're amazing fish, all ate within the first two days (most on the first day). How big is your tank?

my curent fish are in a 125 and kennys are in their own 55. i got his shipment today and they are AMAZING! i nevered planned on mixing the 2 batch as the i didnt want to break qt rules

its wierd because theyre eating just not alot and i asked the lady which i got them from and she said they been doing that since they were juvie and they were 6 inches or so when i got them from here and they were round and plumb lol
