Just got 6 baby dovii yesterday from Ken Davis. He was calling them Costa Rican Yellow. I've got them set up in an 55 for the time being. I'm running two filters on it, both rated for 100 gallons. I don't see water quality being an issue.

Just wanted to see if anyone has some recommendations on growing these guys out fast. They're at about 1" now.

crickets and worms....raise the temp a degree or two

I feed mine bloodworms, krill, brineshrimp and shrimp they grew about an inch a month.....maybe a little more. Dovii are fast growers.

kril , red larves ( not much is very fat ) , brineschrimp .....everything as much as possibel , so they now everything , to learn it to them goed good now , but when they are grown it's harder.

Just wanted to add I fed mine three times a day until they were a couple inches....feed them healthy portions and keep up on water changes. You should have a 8" Dovii before long.

I kept about 8 in a 55gallon which where fry, so raise the temp and mine love bloodworms good luck!

I just want to point out that super excelerated growth isn't always best for the fish in the long run and can lead to some pretty unsightly deformities later in adulthood. Power feeding high proteen diets will get fish big fast but can do damage down the road, so be cautious. Like those threads about my fish grew 8" in 5 mins. This is not that different than giant breed dogs that have skeletel issues from being feed the wrong diet as a pup.
