New dovii's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i bought four years ago to do the same thing but before i could even sex them i had to decide on which ONE i wanted to keep and that is in a 210. Later i was able to introduce a beautiful female, that took a year to finally be accepted by my male who towered over her, and i was able to get countless sucessfull batches of fry. Im not trying to discourage you, just be aware that their aggression is unmatched and they require a lot of water.

I picked up 4 back in April, you'll get maybe 2 months of them getting along (maybe even less time than that). One or two will grow way faster than the rest and will relentlessly beat the others up, especially when feeding. Just be sure you find a place for the others when that happens. I luckily had another tank set up and ready to go, so I was able to split my 2 favorites with a divider and move the 2 smaller ones into another tank.

They really are violent towards each other, so just keep an eye out on the situation. Hopefully you can sex them and pick your pair before any issues come up. Cute little guys!

That's what I put mine in from the start. I would say you can do it right away, or wait until you pick your pair and move them then. May want to do it sooner rather than later, depending on aggression levels in your tank.
