hope they dont float. look nice tho

I am hopeing for the best but Im almost certain most of them will if not all.
I have slate that I am going to drill holes through and tie to the wood to keep down until they can stay down on their own.

i like the stump! .. ive been looking for one .. how are you going about boiling it?

Not really going to boil the whole thing, just going to boil pot after pot of water with a little aquarium salt and pour over the wood.

I am now no longer a plaid floor virgin!

The stump is an awesome find. My vote is for roots down (if for no other reason than the Beastie Boys reason). Further, if you need to weigh the pieces down, try bismuth based shotgun shot or fishing sinkers. They won't leach lead or mercury and they won't corrode in the water.

Good luck
Dan

ya so.....

The stump and the roots both were weighed down with two large pieces of slate then I was desperate so I tied a few pieces of bricks to it as well... no luck with sinking.

The big long piece stayed down because it was able to bend between the two walls and stay int.

The rest of the pieces are in a 55g down stairs soaking, hopefully will not take too long...

Whats with the bottle? Size reference?

haha NICE FLO'S !

i like the drift wood though.
does it sink?

Good luck with it. They should look great in a tank.

didn't have a ruler nearby, I guess.

wow those large pieces are just great! cant wait to see them in your tank!
