Yea i have mine in a 10gal by himself. I figure it will be the easiest way to baby him. Ive herd these guys are difficult to grow past 2" when their little. I tried live blood worms today. Hasent taken to them yet.

I've not heard of any way to sex these guys untill they are nearly full grown and that is basically just watching their growth and keeping an eye on the fin lengths.. longer more billowy is a male. I have also heard that a Majority are males, simply because the male fry are hardier. Mine is still fairly small and doing great on Hikari Cichlid Gold Sinking Pellets.
