New Eheim 2217

I just got my Eheim Pro II 2028 2 days ago. I began setting it up, and coming from the Fluval, the quality just seems to be... well, better. :) Enjoy an awesome filter, i can't wait to get mine up and running.

I have the stock rings in the bottom, then scrubies, the stock blue pad, those stock rock looking things (lol) then the stock filter floss. I know I need to change it up, I have just slowly been playing with the media with it and my xp2.

If you have stock media, then why the scrubbies? They may be the reason, I do not know how much they compress, and how fine of a structure they form when compressed.
 
Thanks for the input. The 2217 does seem like a really solid design. My LFS highly praises it along with everybody else. I am still waiting on a few items to arrive before I set the tank up. If I have any problems with the filter I will be sure to pull from the experience and ewpertise on this forum. Thanks again!
