I posted this awhile ago: If you want to get rid of one let me know, I adore them.
My electric (mat he rest in peace) grew to 11.5 inches. His name was Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago.
He was actually very fond of my two Reticulated Stingray, followed them all day long.
During feedings, I would drop his portions at one end of the tank and theirs at the other.
He however became to "excited" during feedings and no one in the tank was comfortable any more.
i moved him to his own tank were he died of lonliness.
Point: He ate thawed cocktail shrimp, bloddworms, krill. He started eating Massivore Pellets before his death. (actually he died of ich, while I was on vacation the neighbor kid inadvertently turned off the power to his tank and he got stressed in the cooled waters)
E-cats can be really fun to keep, but YOU MUST RESPECT THEM.
Abe would be inquisitive when I cleaned his tank, but at his larger size I would never let him get closer then half-a-tanks length. Once he grew past 7 inches it became very uncomfortable when he would "jolt" from the excitement of something new in the tank.
He hit it so hard one day I thought I ***t my pants. I had a terrible taste in my mouth and felt dizzy. It was my fault.....I was talking to my wife on the cordless phone and didn't realize Abe got too close....I pinned him between the gravel and my hand as I was scrubbing the glass.
