3-4" X 5 ordered from the WET SPOT. $40 each. Pure freshwater, still rather "rare." Grow to 6". Mine are smashing FD krill, FD larvae, nls pellets, hikari food sticks...the 2nd day. Their stripes become thinner and develop in a lateral pattern which is rather unusual with freshwater fish (except bichirs.) Get a school, not just 2 as they will pick on each other a bit.

Ya. I've personally seen them at wet spot. I asked as I've seen older larger clouded archers at another lfs. They said only accept crickets. Thxs

Well, I'm proof otherwise. Of course they will eat crickets, but they devoured everything else.

My freshwater eels and archers hit the floating food quick, whatever food sinks from the surface, the Roseline Sharks and Mascara barbs get to, whatever hits the floor my hoard of clown loaches, pleco finishes off. My 12" Fei Flagtail cleans up everything else. It's cool to see 4 groups of different fish school within their group, all at the same time.

I just bought a group of Burmese Clouded Archerfish, top swimmers, rarely go to the bottom or even the middle.

Very cool always like archers actually wanted to pick up a few a while ago but didnt bwcause i was under the assumption all of them would eventually need to be transfered to a brackish set up. So these guys can thrive in fresh water for life ?

Well, first they are built "tall," rather than cylindrical, they are fast, smart, and don't sleep on the bottom. IMO, you should be fine, as polys are slow and bottom dwelling.
Nice archers! But if you forget to feed the bichirs. They'll tear(deathroll) those archers apart regardless. Especially in the dark, I've seen plenty monster bichirs feeding from the top(even devouring different types of moving feeder:frogs, catfish, snakehead, etc)
