Pollyaddict, aside from the red bringing out the markings to the max on all your polys. Have u noticed the light that reflects the red and changing the water color hues? Kind of the similar effects of those arowana 'nan' tanning lights.

Only downside, of the light reflection of the red gravel for me is its too bright on my samsung s6 phone. It makes my photos and videos way too bright and have to dim it down. That's why I mixed the natural substrate in.
Yeah thats true, using just red gravel make it to bright along with the light, but when i added the blue background it some how took out some of the brightness specially when taking pic. But taking video on the phone still comes out bright.

.

Ya, after I shoot a video or photo. I look at the pic and say ' Damn phone! That's not how it looks in person. Too bright!' Need a dslr camera someday, lol.

I have a Nikon D90, D60 and D3100, im just lazy too transfer the pic. In my laptop, phone is faster to upload photos, it dosent take good pic but gets the job done:)

I get the same with my pics and vids allot of refelction. Always feel like they dont look anything like they do in person

DMD123 DMD123 how long ago you had your dabola before it hit 18"? And how big was it when you got it?

I think mine came in at 11 and is about 15.5 to 16 inches and that was with every other day sometimes 3 or 4 days between feedings. Thickness amazed me more than the length. Wonder how mig she would be if i actually fed her

I got mine in March of this year and it was 13" when it came in. Within the first 30 days it was at 15"! This was with power feeding of Tilapia and massive water changes. Since I have been so busy around the house working I cut back on feeding to every other night so that I dont have to change the water every day, lol.
