every eel I have ever owned (peacock, tire track, fire, and moray), I never saw. Except I had a peacock eel that normally hid all the time, but the whole day before it died, it was out and about, swimming up and down the sides of the tank. It was wicked active all day, and then I found it dead that night... Sea World in Salem, NH got a big shipment of fire eels in about three or four weeks ago. All except for like one were gone in about a week. And when I went there last week, the last one was still there.
