Bumpy - 2 corys dying isn't good. Especially since they're the bottom feeders, they're going to be the ones picking up toxins and other nastiness first.

You say your parameters are fine - what are they? Are you using test strips or liquid tests? If you're using test strips, there's a good chance you're not testing for ammonia and that could be what's killing them.

no i use the liquid api test..ammonia is 0ppm a nice yellow

i also have a crayfish...which i heard were very vulnerable to ammonia as well. and he is fine. hmmmmmm

im assuming when ou say you like these african cichlids you are starting are new tank?

Demasoni are great. I just put 21 fry into a 55g grow out tank an hour or so ago. They can be expensive if you go through a local shop or a petco type store. Best bet for price is to order from a breeder off of a forum. You'll end up paying maybe $3 or $4 shipped each but that's alot cheaper than the $14-$18 most LFS will want.
