Hey Guys,

I went up to the lost river and collected some awsome driftwood already sunk and some awsome river rocks. You locals are welcome to some if you want free of charge. I can bring it to Boston if need be. For those that dont know about the river, it is crystal clear and the wood is awsome out of there. I have used it for years with no problems.

Went to Tropic Isle this weekend, and they've got a tank full of Johanna Pikes. They're 8-9" long, being sold as "Red Pikes" for $7 each. I picked up two...NICE fish.

nice how many did they have any pbass their ?

They had 20+ in the tank. If you've been there before, they are in one of the monster display tanks at the end of the rows of small freshwater tanks. Didn't see any Pbass. I know Uncle Ned has a couple of little Pbass. Tropic Isle had a ton of arrowannas, too, 3 different sizes and some KILLER HUGE discus. Better looking discus than I've ever seen there.

Do you get up to Zoo Creatures much, brettonstein? It's a hike for me, so I don't get up often. Last time I was there, all of their interesting cichlid stock seemed to be gone and a lot of tanks shut down. Bummer.

where there any cool big guys in that big front tank???

Not especially. One of the 2 big tanks was full of pikes. The other had a ton of really large angelfish, and the usual Oscars, JD, big plecos, etc.

Phil, how large are the pieces? I could use a couple more pieces.

I went in when they had first opened, and it seemed like they had a ton of cool fish and a good selection of stuff you don't commonly see in LFS. I've been back twice since, and it's never been anywhere near as good.
