There was an extremely nice discus at the auction on monday, bigger than what you're looking for but it went for like $20 and the guy probably has more. I wonders if he's on the boards anywhere. I know he works at Tropic Isle and Skiptons.

Holy crap for that price I would have bought like atleast 10 of them. When is the nexts meet?

Unfortunately it was the only one but you never know, there might be more next time. I think the meetings are posted on the website www.bostonaquariumsociety.org . This was my first time and I'm not sure how much stuff is usually auctioned off but there was a lot.

The monthly auctions are nowhere near that big, but the deals are still there. If you guys want to go to some BIG auctions, you've got to make it to the once-a-year auctions. They're on the weekend, and are all-day events. They are usually in the fall. I think the next one is Norwalk, CT.

Two things:
First, does anybody want a 4.5-5" TSN for free? In Billerica.

Second, I want to let everybody know that T-N-T is a great vendor, I just got a 2" Fahaka shipped in USPS priority from Michigan. Fish came in great. Fat, healthy and eating 30 minutes out of the bag.

No idea on discus raised in less than stellar conditions, not sure I'd want those. I understand what you're looking for, but IMO discus from unknown sources (especially the asian-bred discus) don't fare very well.

Ned is placing an order soon for Discus from Discus Hans. If I were back in the market for discus, that's who I'd get them from.

I have 3 discus from my LFS that came from a wholesale and they great! They dont have any problems and eat like pigs! Not to mention they are growing like weeds. I was talikng about not living in RODI water. I dont have a RODI unit and I cant afford one. I have a regular cleaning schedule and they are living in great conditions just not over the top.

I will be selling discus soon. These are top shelf discus. They are coming from a friend in Malaysia. My friend is also an international discus judge,he goes all over the world judging competitions and is selecting me some really nice 2.5-3.5 body size discus. So let me know if you would like to grab a few of these when they come in.I am getting 46 pieces in 2.5-3.5 inches.
