I just picked up a fire eel from Sea World in Salem, NH today. I had them pick out the most colorful, biggest, fattest one. Mine was about 14" and $39.99. They had about 6 left in the tank, but I guess they're going really fast.

They've also got two big black pacus that they had for $15 each, but they're going to mark them down to both for $10 by early next week, and they said if no one picks them up by the end of next week, they'll be $1 each. I guess someone brought them in but no one ever buys pacus that size and they're really looking to fill the tank with something else.

stay away from feeder-fish with him and plump him up on eathworms and it'll grow like a weed. Mine ate whole shrimp, jumbo size with shell and freaked over earth-worms. Lost him at over 3ft (4 yrs from 9'') and about as round as a soup can, he jumped out while I was in surgery. Talk about feeling louzy then coming home to that.
PS-----How the cichlids doing?

I have a school of large congo tetras. Not %100 sure on the numbers, but there is at least 13. If I got em all in this photo I will be shocked

3 albino male congo tetras
10 reg congo tetras 6 female 4 male

Take all the congos for $90

2 4 inch Morrowi Cats $20ea

Thanks, AJ. The girl at Sea World stressed to me that they are absolutely against feeding them live fish. why is that? She said they eat about 5 ghost shrimp on a daily basis, and they MIGHT take frozen beefheart or krill. But thank goodness you told me about the earth worms, since I was wondering how I was going to be able to afford 40 ghost shrimp a week. They're about 2 for $1 near me, and the closest place that sells them is 30 minutes away from me. Plus, the thing with them is that they're so delicate that you can't just buy them in bulk cuz they die so easily. Got any pics of yours? That's impressive, but yeah, I think I would end up in depression if I came home to it dead on the floor... My last one died within a week cuz it climbed up into my power filter from where the water was pouring out, and some how got himself stuck in the propellar :WHOA:

Oh, and some good news! I'm definitely ready for rays in terms of set-up, tank mates, etc. Bad news, ALL of my tanks (180, 125, 75, 65) have a SEVERRRRREEEEEE case of ich. Either from the stress of losing power for a day last week, or because i did a water change and the town added chemicals into the town water since they were worried about high levels of bacteria due to the local rivers flooding/mud (they fail to tell us these changes with the town water system...). I'm prolly looking at another 2 weeks till the ich can be considered safely removed... :( :( :(
