Hey guys what are your thoughts on rock taken from outside your house. Instead of buying rock I can go out into the woods behind my house and find tons of nice rocks/stone, I'm just not sure how it should be treated before introduced into the tank.

One of my JD's never comes out of hiding. He just pushes himself up against the sides of the PVC pipe he hides in. Hes all alone in the tank. How do I get him to come out? I've had him for almost a year and ever since I put him into the tank after he got the crap kicked out of him all he does is hides. Hes been in that tank for 5 months now. Can fish have PTSD?
i got a little lost bonus fish today...i just got 8 peacock cichlids today, and guess what one of them turned out to be, a peacock BASS. after i put the bag in the tank to float, i was checkin them out, and a shiny one caught my eye, i look a little closer and realize the ittle bugger is a peacock bass. not a bad pick up for 5.99
bah, im leaving for basic training in 2 weeks
and i got zoo creatures to take in some of my fish 2 oscars and a jack Dempsey
but my poor red belly pacu no one wants, he is about 8 or 9 inches
zoo creature said they would feed him to the turtles and i feel bad for the bugger
would anyone on here take him? his name is Icabod lol
