stable and clean really

i mean if you look at stickys dats or nice dats the bars are dark and the skin is light and clean
some of the dats when stressed due to water conditions tankmates , food regimen etc turn all black brown for the most part cant tell really between bars and body, also they try and blend in with there surrounds which might make them look unstable

Ok I need a opinion or a few on a idea I had today for my 29 im gonna use to breed mollie feeders.

I was thinking of using Fern leaves as sortve a painting template for a tank background. Basically the idea is to lay the ferns on the outside of the glass and paint over them (with whatever color black, blue) an once that paint dries. Remove the fern leaves to then paint the last spots of clear glass.

Ya these were on my 75 but i couldnt get a decent pic of them. I have them on my 120 an on my 29 as well.
