It doesn't presently but the piece I put in my 55, I put a rock on top of it and after a few weeks its almost sinking all on its own.

i am looking for floating drift wood but small and thin pieces ?

I can find some like that, but most dirtwood will absorb water and sink on its own eventually...I suppose you could tie it to the top of hte tank or something
