Measured the little guy today when he was next to the glass. A bit over 4"!! He grew over 2" in under a month. Doubling his legnth and hugely increasing his mass. I guess their growth rate wasn't exaggerated.

He was $22 plus shipping. So like $55 total. No good lfs around here so limited to ordering, but the price is nothing compared to the food bill for him, so no biggie.

Speaking of Popeyes... I think I am going to hit them up for lunch tomorrow!!

Will try and get more pictures tomorrow.

Couple pictures, almost had him a month, but not quite. He was moving in and out of the shade.

Amazing pics and awesome puffer. The only issue is if I do keep a puffer it would be in a 200 gallon and he would get sucked into my overflow. I can cover it with mesh but I can't find a fahaka locally thats bigger than an inch.

Yea, that is pretty small. Might have better luck ordering online or from eBay if they have size listed. Shipping isn't fun, but compared to the food cost of the fish and keeping it a decade or more in its own 120+ gallon tank $30 for shipping is nothing!!

So I have been trying to get him to eat earthworms. Not easy so far! He won't touch them, but...

If I cut the worms up in little pieces and crush snails mixing them all together he will eat the worms with snails! He is starting to get better about eating worm chunks. But he blows on the snails and makes the worm bits float away, I scoop them up and mix with the shells again. Repeat.

At first he only ate one little bit, but once I saw that I knew I could get him eating more - just been a bit of work.
