So medications that say for internal and external parasites wont work?

Nice puff puff! These guys are so cute! We just got one in at work as well. and lol.. I got my big florida gar from Aquatics.. My husband won't let me go there anymore... I keep trying to talk him into the long-nose they have/had there the last few times we went.
Sometimes we name them...that seems more of a herp lab thing.
Some of the fish are named though.
Unfortunately this guy never got a name, he is no longer with us.
When I returned from LA he was even skinnier than before, and on deaths door.
I euthanized him for the sake of being humane. I felt horrible about this...first time I have really ever failed with a fish. Just sort of a shame I couldnt have been at work during that time period to do more.
I was aware of the freshwater/saltwater osmosis thing puffer...however its funny because saltwater fish actually have an organ that attempts to keep as much water from passing into their digestive system as possible because of the effort they have to exert to secrete all the salt from their system.
