A few cell phone pics I grabbed after feeding the fry yesterday. For scale, the silver dollars in some of the pics are about 4". The male may be approaching 11.5-12" now, and the female is probably in the 9-9.5" range. She's getting fat all of a sudden, so she may even be ready for another batch of eggs soon.

got to be one of the best colour fish you can keep the festae!

how come the female does not have full black bars buddy? do they all look like his from a certain catch area ?

Thanks! I'm sure genetics come into play on the bars. She does get them in darker when she's holding eggs and for the first week or so after laying them, but then they come in and out depending on mood.
